It is also recommended that the employer ensures the Sports Trainer has current insurance through Sports Medicine Australia.
Any Sports Trainer who is working without current qualifications is not an accredited Sports Trainer.

Avondale Heights FC seek Sports Trainers!
Avondale Heights Football Club (affiliated with the Essendon District Football League, A Division) require the services of a Head Trainer and a support Trainer for the 2010 season. Trainers need to be either Level 1 or Level 2 accredited Sports Trainers for our Senior, Reserve and Under18 teams for the 2010 season.
The Sports trainers will be required to attend games on Saturdays and training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday. Attendance at training sessions is negotiable. Avondale Heights Football Club offers excellent remuneration and the trainer’s fee is to be negotiated based on experience. These are paid positions and successful applicants will be paid for their services. This role is due to commence in February 2010.
Qualifications: Level 1 Sports Trainer (minimum)

St Kilda City Junior Football Club seeks Sports Trainers
St Kilda City JFC (Moorabbin Saints Junior Football League) is seeking two Level 1 Sports Trainers to attend matches on Sundays at our two home grounds. These positions are required from mid April until end of August each year. Our club fields teams from U9s through to U17s. U13s and younger play at Elwood Park while U14s to U17s play at the Peanut Farm reserve.

Coaches needed for The Big Issue Street Soccer Program!!
The Big Issue is looking for an enthusiastic Coach to join our nation wide network of coaches with the skills in delivering a soccer program for people experiencing homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse and generally at risk. This is a role that allows you to use your interpersonal and communicate skills to motivate people in difficult circumstances helping them set themselves achievable goals and encouraging them to support for the issues that they may be facing.
Reporting to the State Coordinator, you will be responsible for coaching weekly Street Soccer training sessions that will incorporate some stretching, simple fitness work skills and a match and promoting the program to key stakeholders in your local area. Every few months you will be required to run an event eg fun competitive match or tournament in which the players can demonstrate their learning and interact with the wider community.
The most critical aspect of the role is connecting with the participants and proving them with direction and encouragement to develop and grow as individuals in our community.
Demonstrated experience in a sports management or community role would be highly regarded but not essential. We are looking for someone with a maturity in their attitude, confidence and natural communication skills to work easily with our clients, other staff members and volunteers.

Rare opportunity - Tenpin Bowling Event needs safety staff for major event!
In April 2010, the Australian Junior National Tenpin Bowling Championships will be held at Werribee Superbowl on behalf of Tenpin Bowling Australia Limited. The general age range for competitors is 12-18 years of age. The event runs from April 4 - April 18 2010, however we require a services for the Presidents Shield component of the competition being April 13 - April 15 2010. This portion of the event comprises 140 junior tenpin bowlers competing for their state.
I am seeking to have a person trained in Sports Medicine (possibly a Sports Trainer) to be present at the Werribee Superbowl from 8.15am - 5.15pm on each of the three days (April 13 - April 15). The role of that person would be to treat any muscular issues or similar strain injuries that may occur as well as apply basic first aid if required. Treatments in the past have ranged between two to ten each day. Materials and massages tables need to be supplied by the successful applicant.
The successful applicant must also have a First Aid qualification and Working with Children registration. Remuneration will be $200 per day, with lunch included daily.
