The theme of the 10th Annual Victorian Conference of Science and Medicine in Sport and Exercise was 'The Changing Environment: Adapting to Improve Prevention, Performance and Health'. This theme marked the exciting move to regional Victoria, with SMX2008 being held at the All Seasons, Bendigo. The conference promoted knowledge and practice in sports medicine, coaching and officiating by providing an interactive and inter-disciplinary education forum of the highest standard to enhance the participation, performance and well-being of Australians engaged in sport and exercise.
