SMA offer re-accreditation in all regional areas and in many metropolitan locations, and can arrange individual
accreditations at a range of locations throughout the state, however not all of these courses are advertised
on the website. For further information on how to re-accredit at a location that suits you please contact SMA

Please note:
Those participants completing CPR only will be required to attend the CPR component of the training
only (this is generally the first 2 hours of the training)
Upon completion of the CPR component of this course participants will receive a Nationally Accredited
Statement of Attainment in the unit of competency HLTCPR201A Perform CPR.
The SMA Re-accreditation course is a practical demonstration based session where you will be asked
to demonstrate competency in a number of key sports trainer tasks. It is not a course where you will
be re-taught the entire content of the sports trainer course you have previously completed.
Please also note that in order to be re-accredited as a Sports Trainer you will need to provide a current
sports first aid or appropriate first aid certificate to SMA upon enrolment in the course. (if you are
unable to provide this SMA will not re-accredit you until they have received this certificate). Please note
that CPR certificates are valid for only 12 months and not the three years that a first aid certificate is
valid for.
