Project Officer: Tasmanian based
Sports Medicine Australia – Victoria (SMA-VIC) has been appointed by the Board of Sports Medicine Australia – Tasmania (SMA-TAS) to manage a project to be undertaken with support from Sport and Recreation Tasmania (SRT) via a 2010 State Grant. We are seeking to contract an individual for 2010, based in Tasmania, who has the ability to build relationships in the sport and recreation and education sectors.
The primary tasks of the role are to:
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in Tasmanian state sporting organisations and schools.
- Build awareness of Sports Medicine Australia, its programs and education activities is responsible for the administration and management of allocated activities.
The contracted individual will be responsible for finalising project timelines, meeting project outcomes, managing program budgets and project activities in conjunction with the Executive Officer of the Victorian and Tasmanian branch and relevant staff. This is a contract position, a fee will be negotiated with the successful applicant – it is anticipated that the role will involve 12 – 14 hours per week (averaged), starting April 5th 2010 and concluding Dec 17th 2010.
